How can you edit what your ticketing or company tables look like?
First you will begin on the setup page. Navigate there, by using the gear button in the bottom left.
Next you will choose UI Config > Custom Tables.
From here you can choose what table and grid you would like to edit. (If you have multiple grids for a category, they will show there.)
Resource:
Finally, you can choose from the available fields on the left and drag and drop them onto the grid. You can also add columns in the top right and rename or resize them as you choose.
Data Objects:
Tables can also be configured for Data Objects. You can access these through the same steps as above, only choosing Data Object > and the Data Object you are attaching it to. If there is no previously created Table, ADD in the far right corner. Once creating or editing a new one, you can Add Columns and drag and drop the needed information into the correct column. These columns, and the information they contain, can also be customized with different colors, fonts, and alignment by clicking on the field and changing the values in the box shown below.
If there is no previously created Table, ADD in the far right corner. Once creating or editing a new one, you can Add Columns and drag and drop the needed information into the correct column. From the right you can also control copying another grid,
adding the Security management: (ACL to choose specific people or teams that can and cannot access this Table), below you can see that access can be added by Role, Team, and User, specifying also the amount of access they will have, and each cascading rule can be applied to multiple documents, tables, and grids,
and the Distribution List: (intentionally sharing it to a specific person, role or team.)
These columns, and the information they contain, can also be customized with different colors, fonts, and alignment. You can adjust this by clicking on the name in the table and changing the values in the box. Click Apply to see the result.
To change the names of the Columns:, click on the top of the column and change the values in the box as you would with the column information noted above. As these values are the general rule for the entire column, the specific fields can be changed as shown above, changing only the field chosen. You can also note that the Sortable By section can be changed to be sorted by any of the fields in the column. In the below example it could be Author, From Date, or Contact Full Name.
Tickets Grid:
To Adjust the Tickets grid, you can access the Setup page and then Tickets> Tickets Custom Table and select the grid you want to use or adjust (to add a new one use the ADD button on the far right). Unless another was chosen, the default one will be used.
Also, in any of these grids we can add sum, average, minimum and maximum functions on custom tables by adding aggregation functions on columns. The possible functions are those listed below.
For Number and Currency fields, all functions are available, while for other field types, only some functions are available, e.g. for text type fields, only the Count function is available. The result of the aggregation function will be shown in the footer of the column (see picture below).
