Wondering how to move the workflow you've created to Production? This is the page you need to read.
One feature that Virtus Flow has is the ability to copy over a workflow that you've created from one environment to the other. You can easily make changes in your testing environment and automatically copy it to the Production environment without having to recreate every Data Object and create the steps all over again.
How do I start?
First, you create your workflow as normal in your test environment. Then, in the Workflows>Builder section choose the workflow you want and use the Export button on the right.
Next, you confirm if you want the entire process or if you want only specific steps.
Once you submit it, you will automatically download the .vfw file. Then go to the Workflows>Builder page again and choose the Workflow Import button.
This will open a page for you to upload the .vfw file. Drag and drop into the box and it will automatically generate the Macro Workflow, Workflow, and all the Data Objects associated with it. You can choose the ones you want to add and choose Process Import.
If you are adding a process that is already in the environment, you will have the option to Overwrite as shown below. This allows you to choose specific things that should be changed to the newer version or stay the same as the previous one. If the option shows Unchanged there are no differences from the one currently in the system.
When adding a Resource, you will need to Map with the Resource that will be using it.
One thing you will have to add in each Workflow is the Distribution list.
You also will have to redefine the endpoints for the internal connectors due to the change of server.
API
If the API is linked to Custom Tables you will have to recreate the tables and re-link them to the workflow. This uses the "Options List" or "Multiple Choice" fields.
ACL
The Access Control List will also need to be re-added in the new server.
Finally, going back to the Workflows>Builder you will be able to view your new workflow and any changes that you may have made.
