One feature of Virtus Flow that is incredibly useful is the ability to run workflows from inside a custom table. This feature allows the insertion of a process trigger button for each row within the custom table. The process triggered by the button will automatically inherit the information of the row it is in.
You can choose any workflow to be run, the only requirement being you can only choose from among the Workflows acting on that specific node, so if you are building a custom table on the Vehicles Data Object, the only Workflows you will be able to insert in the table will be those over the Vehicles Data Object.
Here are the steps to insert a button in a custom table:
First, go to the Setup Page. Then UI Config> Custom Tables.
Find the Run Workflow field on the left side of the screen.
Drag that into the column you would like the process button in. Then select the workflow you want to use.
Apply and you are all set! The resulting workflow is able to run, pulling the information from the row it's set in.
